Turbo-Charge Your Productivity:

The "Killer Oils" Aromatherapy has been scientifically proven to affect our moods and emotions, and those very strongly affect productivity. After quite a bit of research and experimentation, I found a company that offers therapeutic-grade, high-quality essential oils and blends with wonderfully evocative names, that are remarkably effective. My "Killer Oils" are a set of theraputic-grade essential oil blends that maximize your productivity and success every day:
Peace & Calming (to stay calm and stress-free no matter the situation)
Clarity (promotes alertness and brain clarity)
Harmony (has an uncanny way of making all meetings go more smoothly)
Abundance (because we can never have enough of it in our lives)
I use them for myself, and for my clients, to great effect. Give them a try, and you'll love them too.
CenterPoint Solution CenterPoint Solution If you have ever found yourself fumbling in Word, Excel or PowerPoint because you can't find a certain function, or need to click on four or five different menus to find the function you use all the time, CenterPoint Solution is for you. They train people to use their Microsoft applications more efficiently. What makes them stand out, in my opinion, is that, instead of grouping everyone in a classroom and just giving information, they come to you, determine what you use and how you use it, and tailor a one-on-one presentation to teach you exactly the skills you need. I know Melanie Gass, founder of CenterPoint Solutions, and she's an amazing professional.
The Daily Mastery clients who have used this service have reported a huge gain in productivity at their computer.
Mind Maps Mind Maps, first developed by Tony Buzan in the seventies, are a note-taking technique that allows you to take notes, brainstorm and generally organize information in a way that is much more compatible with the way our brain works than our usual writing-down of things. Using this technique, I've been able to summarize a two-hour talk on a single page, organize ideas and create an outline for articles in just a few minutes. I can't recommend it enough: This technique both saves time and boosts your productivity. And my clients who have tried it like it just as much as I do.

Speed Reading for Professionals Speed reading is a well-known, yet very often neglected skill. Contrary to popular belief, retension does not decrease with reading speed, at least when done right. What would you do with the extra time you get from reading faster, and the extra information you are now able to absorb?
This book is one of the best I have found so far on the topic.

Blast Through Procrastination And Other Blocks to Your Success:

The Procrastination-Busters Aromatherapy is a very effective tool to blast through blocks, since most of our blocks are based on emotions and feelings. The best therapeutic-grade, pure essential oil blends I have found to do this are:
Valor (I find it particularly useful when I need to do something that scares me, such as cold calling)
Motivation (obviously)
Believe (gives just this extra little boost when we tell ourselves we can do it, after all)
Give them a try, and you'll love them as much as I do.

abc Emotional Freedom Techniques

Living Harmony
For blocks to our success that resists classical techniques such as self-talk or aromatherapy, the most effective technique I know is the Emotional Freedom Technique. Developed spcifically to provide quick results, it delivers! I've been working with it for over a year now, and my assessment is that it works way better and faster than any other psychological technique I've seen. I jokingly (but not so jokingly) say that one session of EFT can easily be worth a year of therapy, and tends to be more effective!
You can find basic information and download a free manual by clicking on the "Emotional Freedom Techniques" at left. If you want to work with someone, I can't recommend Cathleen Campbell, of Living Harmony, enough. She's one of the best EFT practitioners I have seen, and, from what I know, I'm far from the only one to think so.

Eliminate Stress:

The Stress-Melters
Aromatherapy is a wonderful tool against stress. Here are some therapeutic-grade essential oil blends to make your stress melt away in no time:
Peace & Calming (for obvious reasons)
Release (helps release the mental cause of stress)
Harmony (how can stress exist in the presence of mental/emotional harmony?)
Joy (it promotes a state that, fully lived, is incompatible with stress)
Just try them, you'll be hooked, just as I was.

StopStressingOut When Zohar Adner, founder of Stop Stressing Out, walks into a room, he lowers the overall stress level just by being there! And he very good at helping his clients do the same.

Take Care Of Yourself In Less Time:

Be a Loser Don't be fooled by the title, this really is a fitness book. Can't find the time to exercise? 15 minutes is all it takes with the exercise routine outlined in this book. By itself, it won't give you 6-pack abs, but it will definitely make you much fitter. Just doing the 15-minute routine once a day, I went from being able to carry my 40-lb son in my arms for 3/4 of a block to being able to carry him up a long flight of stairs and several blocks, without needing to put him down at all, and without even being winded.

Wolfberry Crisp I'm often on the road during the day, and don't always have the time to sit down for a proper meal. Meal-replacement bars are a very convenient solution, but they all seem to have a lot of sugar or, even worse, high fructose corn syrup in them. One to two hours after having eaten one, I feel an energy crash... This bar is the one and only I have ever found that does not have any sugar in it (it uses Agave juice as a sweetener, which doesn't raise blood sugars). As a result, I can truly go for 4 hours after one of those without feeling hungry, and without energy crash.

8 Minutes in the Morning This is an alternate quick training routine that I also have found to be quite effective. It's even faster, but doesn't include any cardio, which would need to be done separately.

Be a SuperMom (or SuperDad) Without The Stress:

Family Facts To organize all the information and papers that go with having a family, this is the best solution I have found so far. There's room for everything, it's in a binder so it's easy to customize, and it's very simple. I love it, and have one for my family.

Protecting the Gift As parents, we spend a lot of time worrying about what can happen to our children. More often than not, it's a lot of time and stress wasted for no good reason. If you want to know what to really worry about, and what to do to protect your children, this is the book.
Organize for Disaster It's never a fun thing to think about, but unfortunately house fires, or disasters, are all too frequent (is it me, or is there not a single season with some major natural disaster somewhere in the US anymore?) Being prepared can save a lot of time, heartache, money, not to mention lives...
This excellent book gives you everything you need to prepare your home and your family for the big "what if"'s.

Thieves Household Cleaner What does a cleaner have to do with Daily Mastery? That's a great question. Actually, it has everything to do with it, when it saves time and energy. Since I've discovered this cleaner, it's the one household cleaner in my home. With just one product, and one bottle, I can clean my bathroom from top to bottom, and better than with most regular cleaners. Even better, it is completely environmentally friendly and non-toxic, so I don't need to worry about my son or my cat.
Dragon Time Ok, I grant it to you, this doesn't really have much to do with time management, but it has everything to do with Daily Mastery. How do you like having mood swings before "this time of the month," and how does it affect your ability to get everything done easily and peacefully? It is said that the person who developed this therapeutic-grade essential oil blend must have had a wife whose PMS is quite difficult for the people around her. I can believe it, given how effective it is. Just try it for yourself if you suffer from PMS. And if your wife or girlfriend suffers from it, get it for her. That's all I have to say...

Get The Right Time Management Tools For You:

DYI Planner D-I-Y Planner This site offers you a wealth of templates in different formats, so that you can create your own customized planner. Best of all, it's free (except for the cost of the binder and the paper, which you can buy at your local office supplies store.)

help remotely Help Remotely I have used this company for several of my clients - and for myself -, with great results all around. Mario Vitellozzi, Help Remotely's principal, can help you choose and customize the ideal electronic time management solution for you (calendar, contact management, etc.) customize the products so that they fill your exact needs, and make sure that everything works seamlessly between your computer and your PDA, or other smartphone.

Organize Your Stuff And Your Papers:

Purseket image Purseket A fabuous organizing tool to corral all the small things that find their way in a woman's handbag or tote. Equally useful for a man's briefcase to gather the little things that otherwise get lost: pens, mini-mouse, USB sticks, etc. I have given it to many people, all of whom have adored it.

Container Store Container Store One of my favorite stores, both online and offline, for organizing supplies. When looking for containers, don't limit yourself to the classical categories. I've used shoes and sweater drawers for offices, for instance. Be creative, there are so many solutions there for the taking.

UniKeep UniKeep This company has amazing storage products for the right-brain-dominant among us. If you are a "out of sight, out of mind" kind of person, use binders often, or have large projects that would fit better in boxes and folders, there are great solutions for you.

Organizing from the Inside Out This book is one of the best introductions to organizing that I know, and one of the few that tells you about the principles of organization, rather than just giving you a collection of tips, allowing you to actually find the right organization systems for you.
National Association of Professional Organizers NAPO If you want or need support in organizing your stuff, whether at home or at work, NAPO is an invaluable resource. They can direct you to the right organizer for your project. I'm a member of NAPO and its New York Chapter myself, and I can tell you that the organizers who make the effort to become members are true professionals, who can help you competently.
